We welcome our new school nurse, Mrs. Kristina Diaz-Rivas! We are blessed to have her join our school staff. Her commitment, passion, love, and professional knowledge will be a great asset for our students and staff. Westwood Christian School is committed to maintaining a safe and healthy school campus. Having Mrs. Diaz-Rivas with us will help us meet this year’s Enhanced Health/Safety Guidelines.
2019-2020 Warrior of the Year
September 22, 2020
|Congratulations to Sofia Salermo for being named the 2020 Middle School Warrior of the Year.|
|Congratulations to Micah Brink for being named the 2020 High School Warrior of the Year.|
Westwood Christian School considers the Warrior of the Year to be one of the most important middle and high school awards. The winners are chosen by their principals and administrator based on recommendations from the teaching staff. Students who earn the Warrior of the Year Award are balanced in academics, involved in extracurricular activities, and display biblical character: compassionate, serving, loving, respectful to authority, and teachable. Many students are recognized throughout the year for their outstanding performance in academics, athletics, and fine arts. This award, however, goes to the core of who we are as a school: to educate young men and women to love the Lord and teach them to live a Christ-like life by letting Him shine through them.
Micah and Sofia, we look forward to seeing you grow in the Lord.
Let no man despise thy youth, but be thou an example of the believer, in word, conduct, in love, in spirit, in purity.
1 Timothy 4:12
Fight the good fight, finish the course, and keep the faith as the Apostle Paul did, recognizing that “there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness.”
2 Timothy 4:7-8
Congratulations to this year’s Valedictorian and Salutatorian
May 15, 2020
This year has been far from what anyone planned it to be. Through its difficult and challenging days, the following two seniors did not deviate from their dream. Their perseverance, dedication, and impeccable work ethic won them first and second place in their senior class. These two students have been friends and classmates since they were in kindergarten and have always strived to excel in all they do with humbleness and great passion. It is no surprise that they would win these prestigious awards.
|It is with great pleasure that we congratulate this year’s Valedictorian, John Carlos Mouw. John Carlos started at Westwood Christian School in eighth grade. He has always been driven by success and perseverance. What sets John apart is his loving heart. We are proud of you and your hard work!
|Another great accomplishment and needs to be equally recognized is this year’s Salutatorian, Marcos Bermudez. Marcos also joined our Westwood Christian family in eighth grade. It is a blessing to see how dedicated and focused this young man is. Congratulations, we are very proud of you!|
We pray your next season is full of joy and success. Always remember, Once a Warrior, Always a Warrior!
