| Fine Arts Westwood Christian has an extensive fine arts program that is implemented throughout all grades. Our choirs prepare during the fall for a winter concert, participate in the spring FACCS State Fine Arts competition, and host a spring concert each May. Chorus if offered for students in the 4-12th grades. Each level, elementary, middle, and high school have their own separate concerts in December and in May. Students not only learn the methods of correct singing, but they learn how to read music, and basic music theory concepts. Goal of chorus is to help students to develop their singing to the best of their abilities to be used for the Lord. Westwood Christian also offers a graded band program open to all students. From fifth grade through high school, WCS bands provide both a music education and an opportunity for performing. Our goal is to guide and instruct our students in the development and use of their God-given abilities and to provide opportunities for them to use those abilities in a performance setting. Each of the four bands performs in both the Christmas and spring concerts alongside our choirs. In addition, each student is encouraged to participate in solo/ensemble festivals in both Christian and public associations.
