Curriculum

Within the curriculum, students learn a variety of information, such as the following:

Science, geography, colors, table manners, seasons, birds, dogs, cats, mice, countries, dears, astronauts, reptiles, insects, vegetables, plants, seeds, family, manners, neighbors, healthy bodies, community helpers, rainforests

Bible:  

Students learn the Word of God by listening to Bible stories, looking at picture flashcards, memorizing verses, and singing songs.

Learning the alphabet:

• Students learn all letter sounds and formation. 
• K-4 students are able to read books by the second semester.
• Numbers: Students are able to:
• count to 20 by age 2
• count to 30 by age 3
• count to 50 by age 4.
• add 1 to numbers by age 4.

 Language development: 

• Students learn to read through phonics. 
  
• They first learn letter sounds then learn syllables. 
  
• Students then sound out entire words.

Character development: 

Students learn how to be respectful, polite, truthful, kind, orderly, diligent, and dependable.

Writing:

• K-3 students learn to write manuscript
• K-4 students learn cursive writing.
  

Computers:  

Students learn basic computer skills by playing educational games.

Chapel: 

Students enjoy a weekly chapel.  Bible stories are taught using flannelgraph.
