Overview
While the fundamentals of Christian education have remained constant at WCS, the financial challenges of the school have changed considerably since the school opened its doors in the late 1950s. In the early days of Christian education expenses such as insurance coverage, employee benefits, and technology were minimal if almost non-existent. Today, parents, students, and teachers have high expectations for facilities, academic resources and extracurricular programs that have led to a significant increase in the cost to educate a student.
The purposes of our Development Office are to cultivate positive public relations with alumni, parents, and friends of Westwood Christian School and to advance the school by raising funds. The Development Office’s goal is to effectively communicate giving opportunities for the school’s stakeholders so that those who support the mission of Westwood Christian School can become partners for continuous school improvement.
